Paraphilia (Greek: παρά - near and φιλία - love) is a condition in which a person's sexual arousal and satisfaction depend on unusual sexual experiences and objects. In paraphilia, arousal may be caused by an unusual sexual object (eg, children, animals, underwear) or an unusual sexual act (pain, shameless phone calls). The object of paraphilia is usually specific and unchanging.
In the people, such behavior is called perversion, and a person with a penchant for paraphilia is called a pervert. The one of definitions of paraphilia is considered an offensive and even abusive term, which causes additional emotional trauma to people with sexual deviations.
